Sidekick64 is a versatile cartridge/extension for the C64, C128, C16/+4 and VIC20. It uses a Raspberry Zero 2 (only for C64/C128/VIC20) to emulate memory expansions, sound devices (up to 8 SIDs, SFX Sound Expander, MIDI), freezer cartridges, cartridges such as Easyflash/GMOD, kernel replacements, C128 function ROMs and much more.

Other variant available: SideKick64 for Raspberry PI 3: <link>

Some functionalities can be combined with others, for example kernnel replacement plus freezers or GeoRAM expansion. The Sidekick64 processes PRGs, D64, SID, MOD, YM and WAV files and also integrates tools such as Disk2EasyFlash, PSID64.

Important for C64/C128: If you have the kernal-replacement and SID emulation, then you need to connect 2 pins on the left side of the SideKick to pin 28 for MOS 6510/8500 in C64/ Pin 29 for 8502 in C128, and pin 8 of the SID.

For this you order the optional cable.

The Sound Expander and MIDI emulation also works without this SID-CS wire.
